Boomerang Bags Numurkah lovingly handcrafts items, to reduce the community’s reliance on single-use plastic. We aim to foster sustainable behavior within the community. Our group not only aims to tackle plastic pollution. We actively seek out materials to help close the loop on textile waste. We rescue fabric headed for the landfill, through partnerships with op-shops and donations. We then upcycle the fabric into useful items. With all proceeds going to support community projects.

We make so much more than traditional boomerang & produce bags. We also make items for wildlife shelters. Products to support cancer patients. We also make bowl cozies, car caddies, and cooling neckties. Not a sewer, we also knit and crochet for the winter appeal. We welcome new ideas; the only limit is your imagination.

Join us over a cuppa to help cut, pin, iron, or sew or just have a chat. Everybody is welcome, new sewing skills are necessary. We are committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. Chat with us to discover how we can accommodate any accessibility requirements.
